A small group of volunteers work to decorate the church with flowers. There is always at least one arrangement in church each Sunday and if possible a lesser one in the Lady Chapel. Special services and festivals attract more spectacular arrangements and allow creative sides to come out!

Special Appeal for more Flower Arrangers

Currently there is a big shortage of flower arrangers, so why not try something new and get involved today?

Do I need experience or skills?

No experience required, you just need a passion for decorating the church and a creative eye.

I'm not sure I've got the time...

For the festivals Easter, Christmas and Harvest we muster an enlarged team. If you want to join the Festivals Only team, then you won't have to sign up to a regular commitment.

We are also looking for Flower Helpers who would be willing to help with maintenance. For example, topping up the water levels and tweaking dead flowers from time to time during the week. This might especially appeal to young mothers, those with families or who go out to work.

Maybe even two friends can join forces and start a new hobby together!

How do I get involved?

There are lists up at the back of the church for volunteers. The rota is split into fortnights. One arrangement lasts for two weeks. It is a creative and rewarding activity. Please think about it and sign up! Alternatively contact Barbara Reeder using the details on the right.

NB You are NOT expected to pay for the flowers.
